Noob....? Ehh
Hello folks, I had just recently got a note on my car of the website so I thought I'd check it out. *Do believe the note was from the guy with the red LS1 Z28 w/ black wheels that lives near me. As for me, I just recently bought a 04' Silver GTO, also black wheels..magnaflow manifold back exhaust & air intake, and its a turd. Haha, but oh well...to be expected. It is the 5th LS1 F-body I've owned over the course of the past 6 years now. Having said that, I do know a little bit about the cars...and probably wont be keeping this one around entirely too long either but thats just me. Anybody here familiar with anybody in the Tulsa F-body scene? I used to be an active member there for quite some time back when they had ws6zxr.com forum and all the stuff routinely going on and when I had my red Z28 that I miss very badly. Well, I'll quit rambling now..

You've had 5 LS1's in 6 years WOW that's gangsta you go through LS's like women, Props. Were your other 4 LS1's all f-body's or were they other platforms like the GTO, C5, etc?

Re: Noob....? Ehh
Yeah I was trying to put some pics up, but as for me...I have always had issues getting pics up in forums. So I just joined the facebook group and will post up there for everybody to see, might just go ahead and post the other F-body cars I have had in the past also to see if anyone recognizes them. As for my others, they were all Camaro's aside from one white T/A last summer.

The red Z28 with black rims is mine, just like Drew mentioned. I wasn't sure if you were living there or not. BUT, now you can party with me and the Luke on weekends

Thanks, when I originally got that car...there was nothing done to it at all, no window tint, stripe, stock grille, etc etc. I also would like to think i know how to mod a LS1 car performance wise,...which was much more fun in that car than the look in my opinion. Ran 11.72 @ 115 in that car with the following mods...basically Cam/Stall/Gear car with a big tire.
Mod List:
stock cube 346, w/ 2000 model block,Clevite main/rod bearings, Mahle forged -2cc Pistons,ARP Rod bolts, complete new valvetrain including 7.4hardened Pushrod's,PRC Springs,Titanium Retainers,Comp OE Lifters, Magic Stick 3 cam, Double roller timin chain, LS6 ported oilpump, 5% tint, LS6 Intake, Stock heads milled .030 for upped compression, Pacesetter coated Longtube headers, Custom X-pipe exhaust dumped at rear axle w/ dynomax bullet 18's, professionally dyno-tuned by Glenn Lipinski, 3.73 gears, aluminum driveshaft, Fuddle 4000 2.5STR Torque Converter and B&M Tranny Cooler, SLP Lid/KN Filter, black Billett grill, Halo Headlights, black/clear turn signal markers, black Berger panel, Black ZL1 Hockey stick stripes, Black ZR1 wheels w/ 17x11 in rear, all free mods & lowered 1.5in with Hotchkis lowering springs.

okay so this guy lives right behind my grand mothers house (i have fixed the fence when it blew down) and that is no joke. were you happy with the end result of the tune ... cause i have modded my car as you can see but never tuned it. I have thought about paying him to do it but i want to know how he did? is his work good and about how much gains could i see?

No no, dude had goats, as in the animal, in his back yard. It was probably 4 years ago when I was last at his house, he said they came with the place.

Re: Noob....? Ehh
no goats. however some GTO guy screwed him over and really pissed him of to the point that now he wont even consider tuning a GTO. (as stated on LS1tech) so who knows if it is true. He is a really nice guy and is a total gear head, not the dick headed kind.
i plan to soon have him dyno my car and it is going to cost like $350 plus dyno time.

Yes, Glenn is a kickass guy and I always had great luck with his tuning for sure also. As for your application, (if it were me) I wouldn't bother tuning it in its current form,...you wont yield good enough results and its just simply not worth the money or effort. Wait til you install a cam...or heads,...etc.

I agree with Ryan, I really wouldn't spend $350 on a dynotune for just your simply bolts. just getcha an inexpensive mail order tune somewhere.
as i
edit: Oh and Ryan Yes you do know how to mod an F-body good , I couldn't really comment on that being I had no reference. If you get another F-body what route/setup would you go with it?
